On May 16, 2022, a mini marathon was held to raise public awareness against the use of plastics.
The event was attended by our students, students from neighbouring schools, Karaikudi athletes, and police officers.

Dr. N. Arumugam, District Chairperson of Lions Clubs, Karaikudi Cosmos Lions Club flagged off the event.

The 7.5-kilometer event began at the institute and ended at the college grounds, passing via Kanadukathan, Chettinad, Kothari and Pallathur villages.

During the campaign, we handed cloth bags sponsored by our management as well as posters focusing on public awareness.

For the first, second, and third places in two categories (Students and Public), cash prizes of Rs.2000, Rs.1500, and Rs.1000 were awarded, as well as a consolation prize of Rs.500 each for the girls and one special prize of Rs.1000 for a 5-year old boy was distributed by ht eLions Club members of Karaikudi Cosmos.

The whole event was organised by the Department of Sports, Mr. S. Veeramanikandan and all the staff members.
